Problem Statement:

Before implementing the HR Module, businesses faced multiple challenges:• Fragmented HR processes across spreadsheets and third-party tools.• Time-consuming manual payroll calculations leading to errors.• Lack of transparency in leave and attendance tracking.• Compliance risks due to inconsistent employee record-keeping.

Research & User Insights:

To design an effective HR system, we gathered insights from HR managers, finance teams, and employees. Key findings included:• HR managers needed a centralized dashboard to oversee employee data, payroll, and leave requests.• Finance teams wanted automated payroll processing with tax and deduction calculations.• Employees required a self-service portal for time-off requests, payslips, and profile updates.

Collaboration:

Building the HR Module required close collaboration with:• HR professionals to define industry-standard workflows and compliance requirements.• Finance teams to integrate payroll processing and tax calculations.• Developers to implement automation and ensure data security.UI/UX designers to create a seamless experience for HR teams and employees.•Stakeholders to align the module with business needs and legal compliance.

Design Process:

a. Wireframing & Prototyping:•Designed low-fidelity wireframes to structure core HR functionalities.• Developed interactive prototypes for usability testing and validation.

b. UI/UX Design:•Created a clean, structured layout for easy proposal drafting.•Developed a template library section for quick and standardized proposal creation.• Implemented customizable filters to quickly find customers/suppliers details.• Manage columns feature to customize the order of data and save them as presets.• Help sections for quick access to help center.

c. User Testing & Feedback:• Conducted usability tests during design walkthroughs with different teams (Design, Management and Development).• Iterated designs based on feedback to enhance user experience.
